Design Guidelines

Facilities Management maintains, repairs, constructs, renovates and alters University facilities and installs systems in accordance with applicable codes and regulations and in conformance to University standards.

Duke’s Facilities Management Design Guidelines are incorporated to ensure compliance with existing polices.  The development of project plans, specifications, inspections and reviews are readily provided by Facilities Management professional staff.

Consultants, contractors, and University staff are subject to the Facilities Management Design Guidelines for the design, construction, and renovation of University-owned facilities.  The Department is currently updating these documents.
