FMD begins pruning West Campus trees

May 27, 2010

The Facilities Management Department has begun a three-week process to prune Oak trees throughout the Quads on West Campus. Work will last until June 11.

Facilities employees will selectively trim dead, diseased and broken branches from about 35 trees. Removing weaker branches allows for improved tree health and reduces the risk of branch failure.

The work won't affect use of walkways around campus, and Facilities employees will mark the areas where work is taking place.
